The Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub aims to address critical gaps in the semiconductor supply chain and workforce development by consolidating regional manufacturing capabilities and expanding equitable access to training and resources. Despite its central location and existing infrastructure, the Texoma region faces challenges in unifying semiconductor manufacturing processes and providing inclusive workforce opportunities. The region lacks a comprehensive model that integrates electronic design, semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and testing into a single, resilient ecosystem. Additionally, underserved communities, including rural and Tribal areas, have limited access to semiconductor training and technological resources. The Texoma Semiconductor Tech Hub seeks to overcome these challenges by creating a geographically-distributed innovation network, fostering regional collaboration, and implementing targeted workforce development programs to elevate the Texoma region as a global leader in semiconductor technology.
