Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Pitch collects the following information when you use the platform:

• Account information: your name and email address, provided via Google OAuth or email/password sign-up.
• Company profiles: company name, description, team members, funding information, and other details you provide.
• Uploaded pitch decks and supporting documents.
• Chat messages sent through the Expert Chat feature.
• Search queries and saved searches.
• Visit and follow activity (which profiles you view and follow).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to operate and improve Pitch. This includes displaying company profiles in the directory, powering AI features (reviews, chat, profile generation, and email processing), delivering notifications and weekly digests, and enabling search and discovery across the platform.

3. AI Data Processing

Company data is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to provide the following features:

• Profile reviews from five AI personas (investor, marketer, technical, customer, coach).
• Expert Chat conversations with AI-powered analysts.
• Automatic profile generation from uploaded documents or URLs.
• Email classification and processing.

When you use these features, your messages and company content are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models (per their API terms of service). Chat messages are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

4. Data Sharing

We share data with the following service providers to operate Pitch:

• Anthropic — AI processing (Claude API).
• Vercel — Application hosting and analytics.
• Supabase — Database and authentication.
• Postmark — Transactional email delivery.
• Sentry — Error tracking and monitoring.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

• Chat messages: 90 days.
• Visit records: 180 days.
• Read notifications: 90 days.
• Company profiles: retained until you delete them.
• Account data: retained until you delete your account.

6. Your Rights

You can manage your data through the platform:

• Access your data — Visit the Settings page to view your account and profile information.
• Delete your account — Go to Settings and select “Delete Account” to permanently remove your data.
• Export your data — Contact us to request a data export.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. EU residents have additional rights under the GDPR. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

Pitch uses the following cookies:

• Authentication session cookie — Managed by Supabase to keep you signed in.
• Visitor tracking cookie — Set on share links to track visits (1 year, consent required).
• Vercel Analytics — Anonymous performance and usage metrics.
